Soriana 3-seater sofa by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy, 1970.

The sofa is reupholstered in a distinctive, chunky bouclé, redolent of a posh poodle’s coat in a versatile, neutral coloured combination. The original foam is in perfect condition and shows its characteristic round and bulky shape. The concept behind the Soriana series was to express a comfortable design where a bundle of fabric or leather was held together by chrome-plated metal clamps. The ‘Soriana’ series won the Compasso d’Oro price in 1970.

Condition:

in a very good vintage condition because of new fabric. The chrome and bottom have signs of use.
