Bastiano 3-seater sofa by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Knoll International, 1960s

A three-seater sofa from the Bastiano series, designed by the Italian designer duo Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Knoll, Italy, circa 1960. The frame is made of black painted oak wood, a loose upholstered seat- and back cushions. The cushions are reupholstered in a high quality light blue cotton velvet. The design of the sofa is rather untypical for Scarpa and clearly shows the signature of the client and manufacturer Knoll International.
